See the highlights of San Francisco on this exciting tour that combines a 6-passenger seaplane flight with a ticket to Alcatraz. Start your adventure with a 30-minute seaplane ride, a thrilling experience that takes you from the Golden Gate Bridge to downtown San Francisco and provides eagle-eye views of Angel Island, Fisherman’s Wharf and more. In addition, take the ferry to Alcatraz Island for a tour of the infamous prison; tickets to Alcatraz can sell out fast, but this tour guarantees you won’t miss out. Choose from two flight times, and depart for Alcatraz in the afternoon.

Seaplane tour (morning):
Your 30-minute seaplane flight departs from Sausalito, the postcard-perfect village across the bay from San Francisco. You'll take the provided shuttle from Pier 39. Choose from two morning flight times, depending on the date you select upon booking, leaving you time for the Alcatraz portion of your day.

When you arrive, meet your experienced, friendly pilot and hop inside your 6-passenger seaplane, which provides large windows and high wings so you can enjoy great views and photo ops. Take off, soaring out to the Marin Headlands and the Pacific Coast and then back across the Golden Gate Bridge.

Fly over the San Francisco Financial District, along the Embarcadero, past Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39, and over to Alcatraz. Zoom across Angel Island and past the waterfront towns of Tiburon and Belvedere before splashing down to Sausalito for an exciting water landing.

Spend time shopping or eating in Sausalito, if you wish, before heading back to San Francisco by shuttle.

Alcatraz tour (afternoon):
Ferries to Alcatraz Island depart from Pier 33, which is a short walk along the Embarcadero from Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf. Step aboard the ferry and enjoy the ride across San Francisco Bay, soaking up the panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and city skyline along the way.

The Alcatraz walking tour is independent and audio-guided, so when you arrive, just pick up your headset and begin your on-foot exploration of the historic prison. Cellhouse — the Alcatraz award-winning audio tour — provides fascinating narration about life inside the world’s most notorious penitentiary, including stories from former inmates themselves.

Enter a real cell, see where prisoners ate and spent their time, and learn about the legendary criminals who ended up there such as Al Capone, George ‘Machine Gun’ Kelly and Robert Franklin Stroud.

When you’re ready, leave the island at your leisure; ferries depart every 30 to 40 minutes to return you to Pier 33.

Treat yourself and a loved one to the ultimate San Francisco experience — a seaplane flight for two over San Francisco Bay. As you’re flown over the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf and Tiburon, indulge in two glasses of Northern California’s finest champagne. Watch the magical light of the 'golden hour' illuminate the city and bay before the sun sinks into the Pacific Ocean. Then end your flight in Sausalito, the perfect place to continue your evening on your own with a waterfront dinner.

Your seaplane tour takes off from Sausalito, a waterfront town just 4 miles (6.4 km) north of the Golden Gate Bridge. While you sip two glasses of Mumm Napa, a California champagne made in the traditional French method, enjoy a gorgeous, leisurely flight over San Francisco Bay before the sun sets. Relax during this magical time when the city and water are beautifully illuminated by the indirect light of the sun.

Head out to the open Pacific Ocean and then south to the Golden Gate Bridge, soaring over the iconic red towers as you make your way toward downtown San Francisco. Fly past Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39 and the skyscrapers of the Financial District, and then zoom up to Alcatraz and Angel Island.

Loop back to Sausalito via the picturesque bayside towns of Belvedere and Tiburon. During the 40-minute flight, watch for landmarks that your pilot will point out and snap photos through the large windows. Your 2-passenger seaplane features high wings that don’t obstruct your view, making it ideal for sightseeing.

Your tour ends when you land in Sausalito. From here, perhaps enjoy a romantic dinner at one of the town’s cozy restaurants or return to San Francisco by ferry (own expense; your pilot can provide info about ferry times).

We will take you into a magical redwood forest called Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, one of the most beautiful sights in the world with Coastal Redwoods that are taller (310 feet/95 meters), bigger (15 feet/4.6 meters wide), and older (1400 years old) than the trees in Muir Woods. This grove is more spectacular than Muir Woods. We guarantee it.
We will stop for lunch in the quaint town of Guerneville where you can walk around and visit it’s unique shops.
Then a drive along the California coast and a walk on the beach. Then on to visits to the towns of Bodega Bay & Bodega California where Alfred Hitchcock‘s “The Birds”was filmed. We will stop at the school house that was used in the film for you to take pictures. From there we will head to Sausalito where you can either come back with us or take the ferry back to the city.
We will stop for photos in the Marin headlands with spectacular views of the Golden gate Bridge and San Francisco.

On our drive to Armstrong Redwoods, your knowledgeable tour guide will explain how this grove of redwoods was spared from the clear-cutting that went on during the gold rush. Luckily for us, Col. James Armstrong decided to purchase multiple parcels of land and set them aside for preservation and public use.

Before we arrive at the park, we will make a quick stop at a café for drinks and snacks. Once in the grove of redwoods, you will have a special opportunity to take a peaceful walk amongst these beautiful and awe-inspiring redwood trees by following an easily marked trail. There is also a seasonal waterfall here! You will spend at least one and a half hours in Armstrong Redwoods.

We will then leave Armstrong Redwoods and continue onto the quaint Northern California town of Guerneville. There you will have time for lunch and shopping in the cute shops on the main street.

After lunch, we will take a short drive out to the beautiful Northern California coast where you can enjoy looking out at the ocean and at amazing rock formations along the coast. You can even put your feet in the Pacific Ocean. Who knows, you might see a whale spouting or breaching in the ocean. We will then make a stop in Bodega Bay for some California saltwater taffy and coastal souvenirs. Next, we will continue to the town of Bodega made famous by Alfred Hitchcock’s movie “The Birds,” where  we will stop for pictures at the schoolhouse used in the film.

We will then head to Sausalito. You have the option of staying and spending some time in Sausalito and returning on your own via ferry. Or you may return with us back to San Francisco, with a stop in the Marin Headlands, which provides stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge with San Francisco in the background.

Entering Yosemite National Park via historical Groveland, spend time (weather conditions permitting) walking among Yosemite’s giant sequoias — the largest of these ancient redwood trees spans more than 40 feet (12 meters) in diameter at its base and lives to at least 3,000 years old.
