A California State Park and Wildlife preserve, Angel Island is, perhaps one of the finest historical sites in the Bay Area and includes military garrisons and compounds from every major war dating back to the U.S. Civil War. Also known as the "Ellis Island of the West", Angel Island's Immigration Station was the first stop for millions of Pacific Basin, Asian and Russian immigrants entering the United States. A day trip to Angel Island will provide a quick overview; however return visits are recommended to explore all that the island has to offer.

Blue and Gold Angel Island Highlights Include:

The official park concessionaire, the Angel Island Company, offers a variety of visitor services in the island's Ayala Cove area. Seasonal services include: economical mountain bike rentals, naturalist-led kayak tours, a one-hour, audio-enhanced Tram Tour of island historic sites, and a moderately priced menu of food and beverages at the Cove Cafe. The company also offers special catering and recreational equipment rentals for groups and picnics.

No scooters, skateboards and rollerskates or in-line skates are allowed on Angel Island. Only service animals allowed on the island.

Schedule Information:

• Summer Monday - Friday: From Pier 41: 9:45am & 1:05pm. From Angel Island: 10:10am, 2:00pm & 3:25pm.

• Summer Weekends: From Pier 41: 9:40am, 11:45am, 1:50pm. From Angel Island: 10:15am, 12:15pm, 2:55pm, and 4:15pm

• Winter Weekdays: From Pier 41: 10:00amĀ  From Angel Island: 3:20pm

• Winter Weekends: From Pier 41: 10:35amĀ  From Angel Island: 3:50pm

• On weekends, a ferry from Angel Island to Pier 41 is available at 11:05am for guests that remained over night on the island. This is the Winter Season Only.Ā 

• No ferry service on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day

• No Hotel Pick up is available.

Directions and Parking:

• Ferry departs from Pier 41 at San Francisco's Fishermans's Wharf.

• The entrance to PIER 39 features a passenger and taxi loading zone. PIER 39 has convenient visitor parking in the PIER 39 Garage, located directly across the street from the Entrance Plaza. The PIER 39 Garage is open 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Confirmation & Travel Voucher:

You will receive an immediate email confirmation with a link to your E-Ticket Voucher. Print this voucher on your home/office printer and present SIGNED voucher at departure location. Cancellation Policy

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. This sale is not subject to refund or exchange. If service is cancelled due to inclement weather a refund will be issued.

Recommended: Comfortable shoes and a extra layer of warm clothing. Weather permitting. If seasonal fog obscures the view, cruise route may be altered. Meals, Gratuities and Souvenirs are not included.
