The biggest highlight is taking the one-way ferry cruise to/from Sausalito. During the ferry cruise, your Tour Guide will be on board with you to provide a historical narrative of the Bay Area, Angel Island, Sausalito and Alcatraz as the ferry goes right by the famous former prison.

Comprehensive Shuttle Tour of San Francisco and Sausalito

On this 5-Hour Comprehensive Tour you will see all the famous sites and have many tour stops in San Francisco and Sausalito. Some sights that will be seen from aboard the coach include The Bay Bridge, North beach, Fisherman's Wharf, Coit Tower, CityHall and Civic Center, Financial District, Haight Ashbury, Conservatory of Flowers, The Presdio National Park and much More.

STOPS: You will have time to get out of the shuttle at several stops to walk around and take pictures. These Stops Include:

 

Ferry Ride to/from Sausalito:

We will take a fun 25-30 minutes ferry ride to or from Sausalito. Sausalito is a small Mediterranean village will be one of the best San Francisco stops on the tour. On this ferry ride you will see Alcatraz, Angel Island, the Golden Gate Bridge and much more. The Ferry Cruise offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside there is plush theater like seating and restrooms are available on board. In Sausalito you will be given 45 minutes to walk around, take pictures, shop and grab something to eat.

• The 9:00am tour starts with the Shuttle City Tour first  then to Sausalito by shuttle. Return to San Francisco via Ferry.

• The 11:15am & 11:45am tours start with the Ferry Ride to Sausalito and then from Sausalito to San Francisco via shuttle for the Shuttle City Tour.  

 

The Golden Gate Bridge:

Spend 15 minutes at the Golden Gate - We drive over The Golden Gate Bridge and stop for pictures and allowing you to walk around the vista points of the city's most treasured landmark.

Place of Fine Arts:

The Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco was originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition. It is one of only two buildings from the exposition not to be demolished. Spend 20 minutes exploring while your guide gives your specific historical narratives about the images and statues that make up the design of the palace.

 

Golden Gate Park:

You will have about 25 minutes to wonder about the 1017 acre park, home to The de Young Museum, Japanese Tea Gardens and The Sculpture Museum. You may also see some friendly bison that make the park their home. A $4.00 admission to the Japanese Tea Gardens is not included.

Lombard Street:

Walk down Lomabrd Street! You will be able to take pictures from the bottom while the cars come driving down. Stop is approximately 20 minutes.

 

Chinatown:

This 10 minute stop consists of a 3-block guided walk through Chintown. You will walk down the famous Grant Street exploring restuarants and local shops.

Nob Hill and Grace Cathedral:

This 20 minute stop allows you to explore the rich history of Nob Hill. Visit the Historic Grace Catherdal Church and then enjoy a guide walk through a short journey atop Nob Hill where you will walk by San Francisco's famous hotels: The Fairmont, The Fairmont and The Mark Hopkins Intercontinental. Also see breath-taking views of the bay from atop Nob Hill.

 

Alamo Square Painted Ladies:

Also known as "Postcard Row" the highlight of this stop is the Six Beautiful Victorian Houses set against the backdrop of the San Francisco Skyline. Your tour guide will give you the history of these famous victorians and the 7th sister mystery. Spend about 10 minutes here for photo opportunities.

• The tour starts and ends at The Ferry Building

Handicapped Accessibility:

• Currently, our shuttles are not wheel chair accessible. However smaller fold-up wheel chairs (which are rare) sometimes do fit on our shuttles. If you have a wheel chair, please notify us so we can give you a free seat next to you to store it.
